NJWA was formed to promote, protect and preserve wildfowl, wildfowlers and the sport of wildfowling:
- For the maximum utilization of the wildfowl of New Jersey in a manner consistent with good sportsmanship
- To promote among wildfowlers, sportsmanship and knowledge of the sport
- To persuade state and local officals charged with the fixing of wildfowl seasons to provide
seasons which will utilize to the maximum the wildfowl resources of the State of New Jersey
- To work in concert with other organizations and associations to further the aims and
purposes of this association
- To encourage among the youth of the state a sportsman like interest in wildfowl and
wildfowling
- To stimulate and encourage conservation practices by its membership and by all state,
federal and local agencies to the end that wildfowl resources of the State of New Jersey may be
nurtured and encouraged to provide for this and future generations
